FSW gratefully receives support from a range of funders
We gratefully receive small and large grants from trusts and foundations. These funds help to pay for support groups and play activities, family holidays, transport for home visits, the cost of employing Family Support Workers and the Play Team and the charity’s running costs.
We are always looking for help to sustain our existing family support services, as we know these make a huge difference to children’s lives.
There are many ways that your local Church or faith group, School, Rotary, W.I. or other group can support FSW. Hold an event for Teddy Bear Weekend in July – a ‘Take your Teddy to Church’ service, ‘Take Your Bear to School’ day, or teddy bear picnic. Or organise a coffee morning, afternoon tea, supper, quiz evening or other event to raise funds.
We can help with ideas, advice and fundraising materials and we’re always grateful for your support.
We invite partnerships with Sussex-based companies who want to support local children and families. However big or small your company is, there’s a way we can work together – from employee fundraising, to participating in events, sponsoring your local project, or selling a product or service to benefit FSW. In return, we can help raise your profile, enthuse your staff and engage your customers.
Our work is cost-effective and our impact on the lives of children and families is long-lasting.
Supporting FSW not only helps local children and families, but gives you the chance to join a friendly community of supporters across Sussex. You may choose to give a one-off donation, organise an event, take part in a challenge, or become a Friend and receive invitations to our events and a vote at the AGM.
However you wish to get involved, we will greatly value your support and will keep you informed about the difference you are making.
FSW has not traditionally received support from statutory organisations. However, in a bid to diversify our funding sources, we appreciate support from local authorities and clinical commissioning groups in the form of grants and commissioned work. We have an in-depth understanding of the needs of Sussex families and a track record of supporting children’s education, preventing children’s removal from the home, and helping parents into work.
We also have the necessary policies and procedures in place to deliver successful projects and outcomes.
When you donate to Family Support Work, we promise to spend your donation wisely and efficiently; to respect your wishes if you’ve told us how you want us to spend your gift; to always keep your financial information safe and to make sure we comply with all relevant guidelines.
