Local Committee Fundraising Story

One of our fundraising committees was contacted by a local couple whose daughter was getting married. The reception was being held in a marquee in their garden but not being taken down until the Monday after the wedding. The couple asked if we would like to use the marquee on Sunday for an event, and the Prosecco Tea was born! Our committee prepared and served a delicious traditional afternoon tea, with entertainment provided by a local jazz band. Ticket sales and donations on the day raised £2,715.
