Easter Monday Walk for FSW – 2 April 2018
FSW is returning to the Ashdown Forest for its Easter Walk in 2018. Like last year, we will be starting and finishing at Gills Lap in the Ashdown Forest, enjoying the sweeping walk down through the Forest via Fisher’s Gate into Hartfield, then the lovely return loop skirting Upper Hartfield and crossing Pooh Bridge before the climb back to Gills Lap.
The walk will start from 10am with the main junctions on the route sign-posted for you. The last walking group will depart at 11am and will remove signs en-route. We will again have a delicious range of cakes and drinks available at our Refreshment stop in Hartfield Village hall.
Please note that the public toilets at the Forest Visitors’ Centre are only open from 11-5 on Easter Monday and there will be no portable toilets for the walk. We therefore advise that you stop en- route at a hotel or similar to use the facilities if you need to.
Help us to raise £10,000 or more this year by walking and gathering sponsorship. Bring sponsored family members and friends, even dogs, and please spread the word about this event – the more the merrier!
If you feel unable to walk but would still like to help, we will need volunteers to help register and guide walkers, plus marshals for the route as well as cake bakers and refreshment makers. Please contact the Fundraising team at Garton House and let us know if you are able to help. Alternatively, simply sponsor someone else to walk or you could ask for sponsorship for not walking or send a donation. Everyone can join in and help in some way. Your support is, as always, very much appreciated.

Another way to raise sponsorship is to set up your own page on JustGiving and then connect to the FSW JustGiving page via our website. This year why not set yourself or your walking group your own target to raise.
